  What or Programme Focus:

ThisHoEwFSmDucphr?oject has been created to develop novel evidence-based approaches

for WthWheahetan?th?ancement of patient adherence in type 2 diabetes therapy.

The primary goal of the project is to identify strategies enabling people with type 2
diabetes, their carers and health care professionals to improve sustained adherence
to the mutually agreed treatment plan.
The 2018 project should include but not necessarily be restricted to the following
objectives:
 Development and validation of new tools or implementation of existing methodology

    in the area of research (e.g. assessment tools, outcome measures, use of big data)
 Development and validation of new technology or implementation of existing

    technology (e.g. mobile technology/mHealth and associated apps, eHealth, social
    networking…)
 Development and validation of new interventions or implementation of evidence-
    based interventions to improve sustained adherence (on the level of patients,
    healthcare professionals, carers and/or health care system)
 Evaluation of biomedical, economic and patient reported outcomes, and their
    relationship to adherence
