What or Programme Focus:
ThisHoEwFSmDucphr?oject has been created to develop novel evidence-based approaches
for WthWheahetan?th?ancement of patient adherence in type 2 diabetes therapy.
The primary goal of the project is to identify strategies enabling people with type 2
diabetes, their carers and health care professionals to improve sustained adherence
to the mutually agreed treatment plan.
The 2018 project should include but not necessarily be restricted to the following
objectives:
Development and validation of new tools or implementation of existing methodology
in the area of research (e.g. assessment tools, outcome measures, use of big data)
Development and validation of new technology or implementation of existing
technology (e.g. mobile technology/mHealth and associated apps, eHealth, social
networking…)
Development and validation of new interventions or implementation of evidence-
based interventions to improve sustained adherence (on the level of patients,
healthcare professionals, carers and/or health care system)
Evaluation of biomedical, economic and patient reported outcomes, and their
relationship to adherence
